First Thanksgiving at Nana's House

Another exciting first for Genty & Nana.....Gentry got to go to Thanksgiving dinner at Nana's house & Nana hosted Thanksgiving for the first time in years, in her new house. Although Gentry didn't actually eat a piece of turkey at either of the Thanksgiving dinners he went to (Grandma & Grandpa's house too), he did enjoy the rolls and a few green beans. (Have I mentioned that I "still" have a picky eater on my hands.)
From hanging out with family, playing with cousins, having Braydon introduce Gentry to BMX biking and how to do tricks and stunts, watching Elmo with Parker, making Christmas ornaments for Nana & Popaw's tree, decorating the tree, and finally crashing on the couch in Mommy's arms. Whew!!! What a great holiday.
By the way - I feel like a big goober....I forgot my camera when going to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's house. I'll have to retrieve some pics from their camera and get those uploaded soon.

Eating with Popaw

This is Gentry saying - "Seriously Mom, I have to eat all of this before I can go back and play?"

Gentry found a friend....

We started the indoor decorating process this weekend....one thing left to go pick out our annual "live" Christmas tree. We are saving that for next weekend. As were unpacking the boxes of all the Christmas decor that we have collected over the years....Gentry came across a Toy Solider. I think this is a decoration that Robby had when he decorated his apartment in Louisville. Gentry loves it. So far Gentry has fed pretzels to the toy solider. No telling what other items this piece of decor will consume over the next several weeks of the holiday season.

Hello Giraffe - I mean Reindeer...

After several hours of slaving away....Robby finally got the holiday decorations and lights up outside. Gentry is loving it. Everytime we come home, Gentry says, "hello lights." Next phrase out of this mouth is, "where's the giraffe?" The first time Robby and I heard this question - we didn't understand. (We find ourselves feeling that way a lot lately...Gentry is starting to speak in full sentences and asking more questions. It's awesome, but half the time, we are not sure what he is saying?) Finally, after a few times - we realized that he was referring to the reindeer that Robby put in the yard. So now, almost everytime that we come home, Gentry likes to get out of the car and head straight for the reindeer to say hello and pet them. It's super cute.

Boy does Gentry miss seeing Siena everyday at daycare. Siena, Brandon, & Megan recently moved to Atlanta, GA. We were lucky enough to visit with them last weekend while they were in. Gentry and Siena enjoyed visiting Great Grandma Messmer, watching movies together, eating pizza, doing puzzles, and coloring. Gentry cannot wait until the next visit.

"More candy please.....I mean, trick or treat"

Off to more houses with Grandma...

It didn't take long before Gentry realized the name of the game - CANDY.

Gentry was a little nervous about being a "lion" for Halloween this year. But after trying on his costume which Grandma Messmer made for him, just a few times....Gentry had the RROOOUUURRRR down pat. Gentry to ear his costume several times this year. First at daycare during his class halloween party, then again at Ethan's Scary Birthday party, and finally on October 31st - halloween day.
