4th of July in Independence

The weekend after the 4th of July was the celebration in Independence with the annual parade and firework show at the local park.  Uncle B, Gigi, Braydon, and Parker all came to Nana & Popaw's house to watch swim, watch the parade, and hang out.  The weather was crazy hot!

This year, 4th of July fell in the middle of the week, which was kind of weird...

We didn't have any major plans, but we couldn't miss the annual Edgewood 4th of July Parade.  Gentry loved this event last year.  He got a ton of candy and enjoined the fire trucks.  

Once we got home from the parade, which was so hot, we sorted out Gentry's candy.  Then Gentry wanted to share it with his  toys.  Too cute:

To complete our 4th of July - Gentry and Daddy played some baseball outside and then cooled off in the yard by running through the sprinklers.

Working outside

 We spent one summer day working outside as a family getting the deck and back yard ready for summer.  Gentry was a big help, from cleaning out under the deck, hosing off the deck, wiping down the deck furniture, planting flowers.....but his favorite was mowing the grass with Daddy.

Happy Anniversary to Grandma & Grandpa

We were happy to get everyone together to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's Anniversary, which included dinner, pictures from vacation, fun fruity drinks, and fireworks.
